Belk to hire 800+ at Jonesville fulfillment center

JONESVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Belk says they are looking to fill over 800 jobs at their fulfillment center in Jonesville.

They say most of the jobs are hourly associate jobs but there are some supervisor positions available as well.

The hiring comes as Belk says they are heading into their peak season as well as expanding their team for long-term growth.

Boeing SC laying off workers in N. Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Job cuts are coming to Boeing South Carolina for the first time since the aerospace behemoth moved to North Charleston in 2009, according to a company memo.

Concrete manufacturer adds 100 jobs in Greenville

GREENVILLE (WSPA) – A concrete materials manufacturing company plans to expand it’s operations in Greenville and add 100 new jobs.

Metromont Corporation plans to invest $8.8 million into it’s facility at 2802 White Horse Road. The new jobs will be added over the next five years.

Gaffney police chief announces retirement

GAFFNEY, SC (WSPA) — The city of Gaffney’s top cop will soon hand in his badge. 

Police Chief Richard Turner is retiring after more than three decades with the department. Chief Turner says he’ll work until the end of the year. He has worked his way up the ranks and describes his service as sometimes stressful but always gratifying.

Nestlé Purina PetCare bringing 240 new jobs to Hartwell, GA

HARTWELL, GA (WSPA) – Nestlé Purina PetCare plans to build a manufacturing facility in Hartwell, Georgia that will bring 240 new jobs to the area.

Governor Nathan Deal announced the deal Tuesday morning that would have the company invest $320 million in the plant. The jobs would be added over a five year period.
